Taking a weekend away with the girls!

My daughter called me from College and told me she didn't want to stay home when she came for Spring Break so we decided to go to Wisconsin to my cousins resort in Rice Lake! Then the night before we left I called my mom to invite her and she packed her bags and came along! My mom is 84 and such a trooper! It will be fun just to get away and chill out for the weekend...we are going to scrapbook this weekend! hugs and prayers, cheryl

Easy Chicken Casserole

2 cups Stove Top Stuffing Mix for Chicken
1-1/2 lb. boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into pieces. ( She used 4 boneless chicken breast and shredded them)
1 bag (14 oz.) frozen broccoli florets, thawed, drained
1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar Cheese

1. Preheat oven to 400. Prepare Stuffing mix as directed on the package; set aside.
2. Mix chicken and broccoli in a 9 x 13 baking dish. Stir in soup, milk and cheese; top with the prepared stuffing.
3. Bake 30 minutes or until heated through.

Found this today on a blog..

A GREAT RECIPE...

1. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day, and while you walk, smile. It
is the ultimate anti-depressant.

2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Talk to God about
what is going on in your life. Buy a lock if you have to.

3. When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement, 'My
purpose is to__________ today. I am thankful for______________'

4. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that
is manufactured in plants.

5. Drink green tea and plenty of water. Eat blueberries, wild Alaskan
salmon, broccoli , almonds & walnuts.

6. Try to make at least three people smile each day.

7. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues
of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead
invest your energy in the positive present moment.

8. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a
college kid with a maxed out charge card.

9. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

10. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

11. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

12. You are not so important that you have to win every argument.
Agree to disagree.

13. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.

14. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their
journey is all about.

15. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.

16. Frame every so-called disaster with these words: 'In five years,
will this matter?'

17. Forgive everyone for everything.

18. What other people think of you is none of your business.

19. GOD heals everything - but you have to ask Him.

20. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

21. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends
will. Stay in touch!!!

22. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.

23. Each night before you go to bed complete the following statements: I
am thankful for__________. Today I accomplished_________.

24. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.

25. When you are feeling down, start listing your many blessings.
You'll be smiling before you know it.

Did you know that Bounce dryer sheets will do! hugs, cheryl

Did you know that Bounce dryer sheets will….
*Chase ants away when you lay a sheet near them.
*Will repel mice.
*Take the odor out of books and photo albums that don't get opened too often.
*Repels mosquitoes. Tie a sheet of Bounce through a belt loop when outdoors during mosquito season.
*Eliminate static electricity from your television (or computer) screen.
*Since Bounce is designed to help eliminate static cling, wipe your television screen with a used sheet of Bounce to keep dust from resettling.
*Dissolve soap scum from shower doors. Clean with a sheet of Bounce.
*To freshen the air in your home - Place an individual sheet of Bounce in a drawer or hang in the closet.
*Put Bounce sheet in vacuum cleaner.
*Prevent thread from tangling. Run a threaded needle through a sheet of Bounce before beginning to sew.
*Prevent musty suitcases. Place an individual sheet of Bounce inside empty luggage before storing.
*To freshen the air in your car - Place a sheet of Bounce under the front seat.
*Clean baked-on foods from a cooking pan. Put a sheet in a pan, fill with water, let sit overnight, and sponge clean. The anti-static agent apparently weakens the bond between the food and the pan.
*Eliminate odors in wastebaskets. Place a sheet of Bounce at the bottom of the wastebasket.
*Collect cat hair. Rubbing the area with a sheet of Bounce will magnetically attract all the lose hairs.
*Eliminate static electricity from Venetian blinds. Wipe the blinds with a sheet of Bounce to prevent dust from resettling.
*Wipe up sawdust from drilling or sand papering. A used sheet of Bounce will collect sawdust like a tack cloth.
*Eliminate odors in dirty laundry. Place an individual sheet of Bounce at the bottom of a laundry bag or hamper.
*Deodorize shoes or sneakers. Place a sheet of Bounce in your shoes or sneakers overnight.
*Golfers put a Bounce sheet in their back pocket to keep the bees away.
*Put a Bounce sheet in your sleeping bag and tent before folding and storing them. It will keep them smelling fresh.
*Wet a Bounce sheet, hose down your car, and wipe lovebugs off easily with the wet Bounce.

Bookmarks in the Scrapbook of Life

Bookmarks in the Scrapbook of Life

It's really through the trials and hard things in life
that we see God for all He can do.
While our faith is tested, we are made to look up
toward the One who can help us get through.
It's times of desperation when the heart is broken
and we discover how deep the pain goes,
Yet we find in that brokenness, the ability to cope
by the grace that God quietly shows.
While the world says good health is the most prized blessing
we know it's not necessarily true.
For good health comes and goes...but it can never compare
to a God who is faithful to you.
It's times of disappointment that leave the soul aching
and tears falling for what has been shattered,
Yet they show us the value we have in God's eyes
when the world didn't care for what mattered.
It's lean times when money is "tighter than tight"
and financial encouragement is rare,
That God beckons us to see Him as the Ultimate Provider
while He proves He is already there.
Good times are special pages in the scrapbook of life
for they are blessings from a God who is true.
But the difficult seasons bookmark spiritual blessings
when they show us what our God can do.
